The Political Compass

Tuesday, October 11th, 2005

Based on The Political Compass I am
- Economic Left/Right: -4.50
- Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.33

Which puts me on the map between Gandhi, Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela. I never though I would be so near to Dalai Lama and Gandi on my political views. Maybe I should shave my head and start vegetarian…

Identity 2.0

Sunday, October 9th, 2005

Take a look amazing presentation given by Sxip CEO Dick Hardt about Identity 2.0. Even if you are not interested about subject it self it’s really worth of checking out presentation because this 15 minutes video is made very well.

I like the concept behind Identity 2.0. Identity 2.0 is user-centric web identity system designed for next generation web sites. The idea is a single sign-on (SSO) system that, unlike systems like Passport, puts you in control of which companies host your data. Where basically you as a user control who can use your identity. For example you have login to Amazon, eBay, Slashdot, online banking, about 10 different forums etc. In Identity 2.0 you can tell Amazon to let authenticate you in Slashdot.

Saturday on the sofa

Sunday, October 9th, 2005

Yesterday was hard day in a office so 3 o’clock I had enough and I went with Danjal to buy six pack of Heinekken… One thing goes to another and I notice that it’s over mid-night and I am sitting in Irish bar with my colleagues and table is full of empty pints and shot glasses.
This morning… I open my eyes first time around eight and I felt like I am going to die. Suddenly, going to yesterday Irish bar didn’t sound anymore good idea at all. After rolling around in a bed one hour I went to a sofa and started my laptop.
Good thing about hangover is that only thing what I can do day after is surf, play computer games or watch movies. So I started my day reading blogs. I started with TechCrunch great blog about Web 2.0 and from there I end up inOPML 2.0 experiment with Dave Winer (listen to Dave?s podcast here too).
After surfing and reading blogs 8 hours I went with my wife to watch Charlie and The Chocolate factory which was a great movie. I really like Tim Burton. Overall its been a great Saturday just lying down the sofa and doing nothing.
